Age Restricted Tickets

Overview

The age-restricted ticket setting allows you to control who can access tickets based on the patron’s age. This feature ensures that only eligible attendees —such as adults, youth, or seniors— can register or purchase tickets for specific events.

When enabled, the system will check the age of the attendee and enforce your chosen validation rule:

• Event Start Date: Attendee must meet the age requirement by the time the event begins.

• Date of Purchase: Attendee must meet the age requirement at the time of purchase.

Setup Instructions: General Admission / Registrations

Option 1: Enable via Pricing Template

1. Go to Events > Pricing Templates

2. Select an existing template or create a new one

3. Click MORE on the ticket setup

4. Check 'Enforce Age Restriction'

5. Set the Minimum and/or Maximum Age

6. Choose when the age must be valid:

   • Event Start Date or

   • Date of Purchase

7. Save the template and apply it to events as needed

Option 2: Enable on a Single Event

1. Go to Events > Manage Events and access the Open Events area.

2. Select Tickets from select action dropdown on your event

3. Edit the ticket type you want to restrict

4. Click MORE on the ticket setup

5. Check 'Enforce Age Restriction'

6. Set the Minimum and/or Maximum Age.

7. Select when age validation should apply:

   • Event Start Date or

   • Date of Purchase

8. Save your changes.

Setup Instructions: Assigned Seating / Price Groups

Option 1: Enable via Global Price Group

1. Go to Events > Price Groups

2. Edit an existing price group or create a new one

3. Check 'Enforce Age Restriction'

4. Set the Minimum and/or Maximum Age.

5. Choose when the age must be valid:

   • Event Start Date or

   • Date of Purchase

6. Save your changes

7. Apply pricing template the with associated price group to your events if needed

Option 2: Enable via Event Price Group

1. Go to Events > Manage Events and view your Open Events

2. Select Price Groups from select action dropdown on your event

3. Select the event date from the drop down

4. Edit the price group

5. Check 'Enforce Age Restriction' on the ticket type

6. Set the Minimum and/or Maximum Age

7. Choose when the age must be valid:

   • Event Start Date or

   • Date of Purchase

8. Save your changes
