Free Mobile App
The Mobile Event Manager 2.0 app can be used on iPods, smartphones, and tablets. You can scan tickets directly using the device’s built-in camera.

USB Laser Scanner (Wired or Wireless)
For small venues where the box office and check-in happen at the same location, you can use a USB 2D QR code scanner connected to a computer.
Plug in the scanner
Open VBO's box office interface
Select the scanning option

This method is not recommended for medium-sized or larger venues with multiple points of entry.
Handheld Scanner
If you have higher volume admissions or need greater mobility, consider investing in handheld scanning devices.
Compatible hardware includes:
Chainway C66 Scanner (Important - Select “2D Barcode Scanner” in Chainway options when purchasing)
Linea Pro 7 Scanner (Apple devices with iOS version 12 or later required)
Opticon H27

The Mobile Event Manager 2.0 app supports scanning via keyboard emulation. If your device uses keyboard emulation, we recommend performing a test scan for compatibility.
Optional for Zebra Scanners:
Some customers have configured Zebra devices by importing a custom DataWedge profile.

Mobile Printing (Use Case: Limited or Remote Setups)
While possible, mobile printing is not recommended as the primary method due to slower speeds and limited compatibility. It is best suited for remote events (e.g., festivals) where a full box office setup isn’t available.
For iOS Devices (Apple)
Use an AirPrint-capable printer - (e.g., Samsung Xpress M2830 – requires the HP Samsung Mobile app)
Follow the setup instructions provided with your AirPrint printer
For Android Devices
Use the Star Micronics SM-S220 Bluetooth receipt printer (portable option for Android-based devices)
